Francin, a brew­ery man­ag­er, some­times feels like a hunt­ed man. What he’d like most is to please the board of direc­tors in order to keep his job. He also desires some qui­et hap­pi­ness with his beau­ti­ful wife Maryš­ka. But Maryš­ka her­self is an obsta­cle. This pas­sion­ate lover of life cares lit­tle about social con­ven­tions, but all of the mem­bers of the board adore her. Francin there­fore does not know how to tame her. To add to his prob­lems, his bois­ter­ous broth­er Pepin moves in with them. His ideas attract Maryš­ka like a moth to a flame! These two find ways to cause trou­ble that the man­ag­er would rather not see…
